This exceptionally fine, full-bodied varietal is produced from the same grape which produces the great Boreaux wines of Medoc.
Because Cabernet Sauvignon is fairly tannic, the wine is often blended with other grapes, usually Merlot. The wine is usually described as having
aromas and flavors of black currants and cassis.
